State Profile

Two separate grants from the US Department of Energy (DOE) in 2008-2009 have catalyzed South Carolina’s activities— including studies on offshore wind transmission study, wind resource potential, and permitting reforms; and, development of the world’s largest wind-turbine drivetrain test facility.
